Hi @Vunce

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP printer is stuck on the "Info" light and you're unable to print or make copies. When the "Info" light is on, it typically indicates an issue such as a paper jam, low ink, or a problem with the printer's settings. Since you mentioned the warranty is expired, let's try some troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.

Here are a few steps to follow:

1. Check for Paper Jams

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Open all access doors, such as the front panel, rear door, or any paper tray compartments.
  • Look for any paper jams inside the printer and carefully remove any stuck paper.
  • Make sure there are no small pieces of paper or debris inside that could be causing the issue.
  • After checking for paper jams, close all compartments and plug the printer back in. Power it on and check if the issue persists.

2. Check Ink or Toner Cartridges

  • Check the ink/toner cartridges to ensure they are properly installed and not empty or defective.
  • Try removing and reinstalling the cartridges to ensure they are seated correctly.
  • If your printer uses toner, check the toner levels and ensure they are not empty.
  • If possible, try replacing the cartridges with new ones to rule out a cartridge-related issue.

3. Reset the Printer

Sometimes, a reset can clear any temporary error or issue the printer is having.

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • This can sometimes help clear the "Info" light and resolve minor issues.

4. Check the Printer Display/Status

  • If your printer has a display screen, check for any specific error messages or prompts that could explain why it’s stuck on the "Info" light.
  • It might display something like "out of paper," "low ink," or "paper jam," which will help you narrow down the issue.
  • If there is no display, try to print a test page or check if there are any options in the printer menu for more details.

5. Perform a Printer Self-Test

  • Most HP printers allow you to print a self-test page directly from the printer's control panel. This can help you determine if the printer is still functioning and identify any issues with printing.
    • For printers with a screen: Look for an option in the menu to print a self-test or diagnostic page.
    • For printers without a screen: Hold down the cancel or information button (depending on the model) for a few seconds to print a diagnostic page.

I hope this helps.
