officejet 4500
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I just bought two of these used, and neither will connect to my windows 7 laptop.  They go through the typical auto install of drivers but don't finalize and using the HP drivers from this site the gui tells me it's not seeing the printer via the USB cable to finish the install process.  Anyone have any ideas what's going on here with both of these printers?  It's looking like a software issue.

Thanks. Turns out I used the wrong drivers. They're working now

You might have a bad cable, the 4500 has a hardware problem or the computer has a hardware problem with the port.
