HP Recommended
3830 printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Bought Black 63 ink for my printer 3830 series printer at Walmart. Used it twice for a couple paragraphs, and now it says no ink. I cleaned the cartridge area as described in HP forums. Reset printer, when that didn't work downloaded new software after uninstall and still displace no ink.

@yrusofine2002 Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are getting to replace the ink cartridges' message.

Please let us know if you are using HP genuine ink cartridges.

Please remove and reseat the ink cartridges and check.

Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.

Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.

With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

Wait at least 60 seconds.

Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed
