Hi @TX_73 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are getting an error code 59.C0 on an HP printer typically indicates a problem with the internal communication system. It could be caused by various factors such as a hardware issue, a firmware glitch, or even a paper jam.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

  • Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. This simple step often resolves temporary glitches.
  • Check for Paper Jams: Even though it's a new printer, it's possible that there could be a small piece of paper stuck inside causing the error. Open all access doors and remove any paper jams carefully.
  • Update Firmware: Sometimes, firmware issues can cause communication errors. Check if there's a firmware update available for your printer on the HP website. If so, follow the instructions to update the firmware. Update the firmware on an HP printer
  • Reset the Printer: Perform a cold reset on the printer. This will reset the printer to its factory default settings. Consult your printer manual for instructions on how to perform a cold reset.
  • Check Connections: Ensure that all cables are securely connected to the printer and there are no loose connections.

Make sure the printer power cord is plugged DIRECTLY INTO THE WALL. Any surge protector or UPS that you might be using or any other high current device on the same circuit such as a space heater or air conditioner can trigger this error.
