We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

It sounds like the printer is going into sleep or power-saving mode, which is preventing remote printing. Here are some troubleshooting steps to fix this:

Adjust Sleep Mode Settings

  • On the printer's control panel, navigate to Setup > Power Management (or a similar menu).
  • Look for Sleep Mode or Auto Power Off and increase the time or disable it.

Adjust Energy Settings from HP Smart App

  • Open the HP Smart App on your PC or mobile device.
  • Go to Printer Settings > Advanced Settings (EWS).
  • Under Power Management, disable or adjust Auto Power Off.

Update Firmware

  • Visit HP Support and download the latest firmware update for your printer model.
  • Install it using HP Smart or HP Easy Start.

Check Wireless Direct & Wake-on-LAN

  • If your printer supports Wake-on-LAN (WOL) or HP Wireless Direct, enable these features.
  • This allows the printer to wake up when receiving a print job.

Disable Deep Sleep Mode (For Some Models)

  • Some HP printers have a Deep Sleep Mode that turns them off completely.
  • Check in Advanced Settings (EWS) or the control panel.

After making these changes, test remote printing again. Let me know if you need step-by-step guidance for your specific model! 😊

Take care, and have an amazing day!
