HP OfficeJet Pro 6968
macOS 11.0 Big Sur

When I print the alignment page blue and red are the only colors appearing. When I print a black and white document from my computer, it prints completely blank page. When I copy a black and white document, it prints a blank page. I've cleaned the printer heads several times, the page it prints after cleaning has green, orange, pink, and blue only. Printer status report shows yellow, blue, pink, but in the bracket I presume belongs to black, it is blank. Print quality report shows 3 green bars at the top, yellow, pink, and blue bars in the middle, and some thin black, blue, and pink lines at the bottom.

I have made sure the software is up to date. What should I do? I'm very frustrated.

@mindy01

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Are you trying to print from an Android or Apple phone?

  • What is the operating system?

While you respond to that, let's try these steps:

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer's rear and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Remove USB cable, if present.
  • Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
  • Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer and wait till the warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
