7155 Envy printer will not boot up past the first dot on the logo screen.   Have tried all recommended processes shown in past posts:  remove cartridges, unplug, drain power, wait, etc.   Driver may need to be updated according to a system search for the printer.   But cannot update if it won't power up.  Any other suggestions?

@wdaver, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your Envy 7155!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I know how frustrating it feels when your Envy 7155 just stares back at you with that frozen HP logo and first dot. Let’s try to gently nudge it back to life:

Hard Reset (again, but with a twist):

Unplug the power cord and USB/network cables.

Press and hold the Power button on the printer for 30–40 seconds (this drains any residual charge).

Plug it back directly into a wall outlet (skip surge protectors/power strips).

Check for cartridge lock-ups:

With the printer off, open the cartridge access door and slide the carriage gently left to right. If it’s stuck, remove the cartridges and try powering on without them.

Minimal Boot Test:

Disconnect everything (USB, network).

Start the printer with only power connected. If it boots further, the issue may be with connection or firmware.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
