HP ENVY Inspire 7955e All-in-One Printer

I bought this direct from HP a week ago, and now it won't print or respond at all.  The option screen is all blue with a power symbol at the top and the code B8084696 below.  All other lights are flashing.  (power indicator and whoe and blue dots in synch, and the return arrow and home indacators in synch offset by the ?.  I have tried all fix suggestions several times.

It seems you're encountering a serious issue with your HP ENVY Inspire 7955e printer, indicated by the blue screen displaying the error code B8084696, along with flashing lights. This issue can arise from various internal faults, including hardware malfunctions or connectivity problems.

 

Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue.


Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Unplug the printer from the wall and disconnect all cables (including the power cable and USB/wireless connections).
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds before reconnecting the power cable to the wall.
  • Reconnect the printer and turn it back on.

Check for Physical Issues:

  • Open the printer cover and ensure there are no paper jams or obstructions in the print path.
  • Check that the ink cartridges are correctly installed and that no protective tape remains on them.

Update Firmware:

  • Sometimes, a firmware update can resolve error codes. You can check the HP website for any available firmware updates for your printer model.

HP Support Assistant:

  • If the above steps don't work, using the HP Support Assistant software can help diagnose and possibly fix the issue.
