HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 All-in-One Printer

I have tried all the suggested solutions and have even tried a set of fresh ink cartridges, but it still gets stuck. Oddly enough, I can print while the message is up, but cannot access the touch screen on the printer, since the message will not go away and it will not print the page.

Please let me know how to perform a full reset in the printer to hopefully solve the issue. I tried it via the HP Smart app and via my laptop, but both say the printer is busy and will not complete the operation.

Thanks.

@PMY8503,

Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support Community! 🎉

I’m here to help you troubleshoot your issue and get things back on track. Just follow these steps below, and we’ll have you running smoothly in no time:

Steps for a Full Reset:

  1. Press the Power button to turn off the printer.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer while it is still off.
  3. Leave the printer unplugged for at least 1 minute. This helps clear any temporary memory or stuck processes.
  4. Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  5. Press the Power button to turn the printer back on.

Reset through Printer Menu (if accessible):

  1. On the printer's control panel, tap Setup (gear icon).
  2. Scroll down and select Printer Maintenance or Tools.
  3. Look for Restore Defaults or Restore Factory Defaults and select it.
  4. Follow any on-screen prompts to complete the reset.

I’m pretty confident this will do the trick! But hey, if you run into any bumps along the way or need a little extra help, just give me a shout! I’ve got your back. 💪

Hey @PMY8503, Thank you for your response

Let's try these steps:

1. Verify Printer Cartridges:

  • Make sure you are using Original HP cartridges. HP+ printers require Original HP cartridges to function correctly.

2. Check Power Connection:

Ensure the power cord is securely connected:

  1. Make sure the power cord is firmly connected to both the printer and the power outlet.
  2. Look at the power button on the printer. If it is not lit, press the Power button to turn on the printer.
  3. If the printer is not receiving power, try another power outlet.

3. Restart the Printer:

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  3. Wait at least 15 seconds.
  4. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  5. Reconnect the power cord to the back of the printer.
  6. If the printer does not turn on automatically, press the Power button to turn it on again.

4. Complete the Alignment:

  • If the alignment page appears, follow the instructions to complete the alignment process. This often involves scanning the alignment page using the printer's scanner.

Additional Troubleshooting:

  • If the issue persists, try downloading and running the HP Print and Scan Doctor diagnostic tool for further troubleshooting.
  • Ensure that the printer is turned on and has paper loaded in the tray.
  • Run a print quality diagnostic report to identify and resolve any issues.

For detailed instructions, refer to your printer's user guide: User Guide

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
