My new 8035 won't offer 2 sided scan on either my MAC or Windows  both are current versions

Hi,

The printer offers Two-Sided Printing only, it does not offer Automatic Two-Sided scanning or copying, it is provided with a standard 35-pages feeder, it does not offer two-sided scanning as you want:

Then you need to talk to Best Buy as their video for the 8035 at 1 minute in has the woman saying "with double sided printing, copying and scanning..."  

I will be returning the printer to the store
