HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus e-All-in-One Printer - N911g

We’ve been having problems with our 8600 plus and realized it needed a new printhead which was bought online. Unfortunately the new printer head is not being detected it keeps telling us it’s not installed. When we put the old one back in it is properly detected. However that one has lost the ability to print properly. How do I get it to detect the new one?

I see that the printer is not detecting the new printhead. Make sure this printhead is from HP.

Check if it is properly seated. Refer to the steps mentioned in this document - Printhead errors

 

If the issue persists,

I’ve already tried all of this none of it works. The printer cannot detect the new printhead.

In this case, I'm afraid you will have to upgrade the printer.
