8625 Panel and all lights blinking

All in One 8625 Printer
macOS 11.0 Big Sur

Multiple times daily the printer stops with Panel, indicator lights and power button all flashing. No error lights or notifications. Pushing the power button solves the problem but after sitting in standby mode for an unknown period (couple of hours?) problem repeats. I've tried shutting down and restarting. I've tried shutting down and then unplugging the printer for 15 minutes but the problem returns. I've noted that there are others listing the same problem but I haven't seen a solution posted.

 

I've tried the Knowledge Base but have not found any relevant info.

Are you getting any error messages?

 

Meanwhile:-

Perform a power reset

  1. Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Wait at least 30 seconds.
  5. Plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet and printer without any surge protector.
  6. Turn on the printer.

Update the printer firmware
