A4 prints are ok but when printing A3 straight lines are wiggly and colours are wrong

Hi,

Can you see the HP Officejet Pro 7740 Basic Device Software installed under Programs and Features?

 

If the answer is No, the issue likely occur due to using a native Class Driver of the OS.

 

Follow HP Easy Start by selecting the HP Basic or HP Full Feature Software option and complete the HP Software installation, then check for any difference:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/COL96741/HPEasyStart_12_6_09.exe

Hi Shlomi,

your advice did help. I initially installed the printer software using HP Smart, but didn't notice that no original HP Driver was installed. Now the driver calls itself HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 series PCL-3 (20.79.1.6733) and A3 printing works. Yeah.
