Hi @p010ne,

I understand you are looking for the Administrative password for your HP OfficeJet 8620 printer. I'll try my best to help you with this,

Please make sure that the printer is connected directly to the wall outlet and not to the surge protector.

Perform a Hard reset on the printer.

* With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

* Remove USB cable, if present.

* Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.

* Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord and then plug back the power cord to the printer.

* Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.

Next thing I would suggest here is to perform a Network defaults on the printer.

Administrator password can be enabled and set up manually through the Embedded Web Server for the printer. If you are not the person who set up this printer I would suggest reaching out to whoever set up the HP Officejet for the Administrator password that they manually configured.

If you are the person who set up this device and is not aware of configuring an Administrator password on your machine, performing an advanced reset on the printer should help you resolve this issue, I am sending you a private message with the instructions on how to perform this steps:

Please check your Private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile,

I am experiencing similar "admin" login issues, preventing me from administering this printer.  I have owned other HP printers in the past, but this unit is creating challenges that require me to ask you for assistance.

I have tried every password in my keychain on my mac & the admin password is not any of them!  How can I change my admin password & get my printer working on my new computer again?
