All in one 2600 - won't print wirelessly

Product: HP Deskjet All in one 2600 Series
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Tried everything to get this printer to print on my laptop: it works on my daughter's laptop and on our mobile phones...

  • Removing all software and hardwear
  • Reinstalling all software and hardwear
  • Going through support process through HP Smart
  • Downloading and running print and scan doctor
  • Downloading the software and drivers from HP
  • Installing using USB - I was able to print with the USB in place...
  • Changing USB to wireless

Had a problem with the appearance of a corresponding HP Wifi Direct profile popping up in the Wireless Networks on my laptop ... this got in the way when i was attempting to get my laptop to connect to the printer... it kept dropping the wireless connection to my router and trying to connect to the internet via the HP Wifi Direct profile!  I've got rid of that thing by uninstalling everything (as in the top of my list above), but STILL cannot print wirelessly to the printer from my laptop!

 

Can anyone suggest anything?
