All my iights are blinking on the panel of my HP ENVY 6400 Series printer. How to clear?

All my iights are blinking on the panel of my HP ENVY 6400 Series printer. Unplugging and turning printer off has not 

worked.  What should I do?

I understand all the lights on your HP ENVY 6458e All-in-One Printer are blinking, it usually indicates an error that requires attention. 

Here are some steps you can follow to try and resolve the issue:
 

1. Reset the Printer

• Unplug the printer from the power source.
• Wait for about 60 seconds.
• Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

2. Check for Error Messages

• If the printer displays an error message on the control panel or your computer, follow the on-screen instructions to resolve the issue.

3. Check for Paper Jams

• Open the access doors and check for any paper jams or obstructions.
• Remove any jammed paper carefully, ensuring there are no torn pieces left inside.

4. Check Ink Cartridges

• Open the ink cartridge access door and make sure the cartridges are correctly installed.
• Remove and reinsert the cartridges to ensure they are seated properly.

5. Perform a Hard Reset

• Turn off the printer.
• Unplug the printer from the power source.
• Unplug any USB or Ethernet cables.
• Wait for at least 60 seconds.
• Plug the power cable back into the printer and turn it on without connecting any other cables.
• Check if the blinking lights issue is resolved.

6. Check for Firmware Updates Update the firmware on an HP printer

• Make sure the printer firmware is up to date. You can update the firmware through the HP Smart app or the HP website.

7. Factory Reset the Printer

• If the above steps do not work, you may need to perform a factory reset. Refer to your printer's user manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset or use the HP Smart app.
