Hi @Jack-63,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

An "E6" error code on an HP printer typically indicates a problem with the printhead or a related internal issue. Here’s what you can try to resolve it.

Check the Printhead:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Open the printer's access door to reach the printhead.
  • Remove the printhead carefully according to the printer’s manual.
  • Inspect the printhead for any visible issues or debris.
  • Reinstall the printhead securely.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Ensure there are no paper jams in the printer.
  • Remove any stuck paper or foreign objects.

Clean the Printhead:

  • If your printer model allows for printhead cleaning via its software, you can use that option.
  • Alternatively, you can gently clean the printhead with a lint-free cloth and distilled water.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it, wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
