@TGQMark, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding passcode requests!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Fortunately, there's a way to adjust this setting so you don’t have to deal with that extra step.
Here’s what you can do to disable the passcode prompt:
Access the Embedded Web Server (EWS)
Open a web browser on your computer.
Type your printer's IP address in the address bar (You can find the IP by printing a network configuration page from the printer).
Log into Admin Settings
Once the EWS page loads, go to the Security tab.
Select Administrator Settings.
Modify the Security Settings
Look for an option related to Control Panel Lock or Password Protection.
Disable or adjust it to "Low" security, if available.
Save and Restart
Click Apply/Save to confirm changes.
Restart the printer and check if the passcode prompt stops appearing.
If these steps don’t work or if the option isn’t visible, let me know! We can try a factory reset as a last resort or check if a firmware update might help.
Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.
Take care, and have an amazing day!

Hello,
Thanks for this tip. However there is no Administrator Security setting under the Security tab or any other tab. The model I have is MFP3301cdw. I checked the firmware version and it is up to date.
Let me know other options to restrict this code request.
Thanks!

If you are referring to accessing the settings in the Embedded Web Server, there is NO way to disable that.
