Hi @KL1987,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code 8AF310F2 on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e All-in-One Printer, along with the blinking blue light, typically indicates a problem with the printer's printhead or a firmware issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this error.

Restart the Printer

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

Check Printhead Installation

  • Open the printer's front door to access the printhead.
  • Ensure that the printhead is installed correctly. Remove and reinstall it if necessary, making sure it clicks into place.

Inspect Cartridges

  • Make sure the ink cartridges are properly seated in the printhead.
  • Check that the cartridges are not empty and that the protective tape has been removed from the cartridges.

Perform a Printhead Cleaning

  • If the printer's menu is accessible, navigate to the maintenance section and look for a printhead cleaning option.
  • If the menu isn’t accessible, you may need to refer to the HP Smart app for maintenance options.

Update Printer Firmware

  • Ensure your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can check for updates through the HP Smart app or the HP website.

Reset the Printer

  • If the error persists, consider performing a factory reset. Note that this will reset all settings to factory defaults.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
