My HP ENVY 7640e printer powers up and displays error C4EB82C3 for a very short time and then changes to displaying a text message "There is a problem with the printer. Turn the printer Off, then On". Note: Function selections on left of display screen are continuously blinking'

I have recycled the power several times and get the same results each time. Obviously I cannot get into any trouble shooting mode to begin solving my problem. Any help out there? 

Also does anyone know what specific failure error code C4EB82C3 is identifying?

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

 

Restart the Printer

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
  3. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
  4. Wait for 60 seconds and connect the power cord back in.
  5. Turn on the printer.

Step 2: Check Cartridge Installation

  1. Open the door that provides access to the ink cartridges.
  2. Verify that all ink cartridges are properly installed and seated.
  3. Remove each cartridge and then reinsert it into its designated slot.
  4. Close the printer access door and ensure it is properly latched.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor (Windows only):

Update Printer Firmware (Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support)

  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.
