Hi @BlessedBea,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're encountering an error message (B8047A26) when trying to print on your HP OfficeJet 8022 All-In-One Printer. This error code might indicate a specific issue with the printer.

May I know the operating system?

Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:

  • Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on again. This can sometimes resolve temporary issues.
  • Check for Firmware Updates: Even though you mentioned that the firmware upgrade didn't work, it's worth double-checking if there are any new firmware updates available for your printer model. Visit the HP support website and enter your printer model number to see if there are any available updates. Update the firmware on an HP printer
  • Check Printer Connections: Ensure that all cables connecting the printer to your computer or network are securely plugged in. If you're using a wireless connection, make sure the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
  • Printer Reset: Try performing a more thorough reset of the printer. This usually involves pressing and holding down specific buttons on the printer control panel for a few seconds. Refer to your printer's user manual for instructions on how to perform a reset.
  • Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions: Sometimes, paper jams or other physical obstructions inside the printer can cause error messages. Open the printer cover and check for any paper jams or foreign objects inside the printer. If you find any, carefully remove them.

I hope this helps.
