I've seen this forum, but am still getting the black box rectangle cover ups of key information when I print a .pdf. It happened on a 1099-B tax form, and now on an auto insurance, proof of coverage card for my car. It's covering up partial account balance info on 1099-Bs, and both the policy number and 800 numbers I'd need to be able to see on the insurance card if I were in an auto mishap. My system is Windows 10 (64-bit). Using Firefox browser, I will not go back to IE or Edge so how do I override HP's security overreach that is an unwanted, meddlesome and time-wasting inconvenience?

Thanks for the solution reply. The blackout issue was, I think, a Mozilla Firefox protocol - not anything to do with my HP Printer. Sorry for jumping on HP above about the issue. Installing an Adobe Acrobat reader update (not yet on this desktop since my computer replacement in 2020) solved the problem. I also switched back to Adobe reader as the default for printing .pdf files (vs. Firefox). Print options are now as before with no more black rectangles masking of data. Thanks again!

You are welcome.
I use both Firefox and Chromium Edge (others on occasion) - each include some nice features.
If you get into a situation where saving the content as a PDF file and opening it in Reader DC is not an option,
Create a Snip of the information on the page > save the snipped image as a .jpg file > print that file.
