Hi @Natbusk,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
I can imagine how unsettling it must be to hear your HP printer beeping with no lights and not even the power button responding. It’s like the printer is trying to speak but not letting you understand what’s wrong. Let’s gently walk through some steps to bring it back to life.
Steps to Fix It:
1. Power Reset
This helps clear any residual charge or firmware lock.
- Unplug the printer from the wall outlet.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Plug it directly into a wall outlet (not a surge protector or extension cord).
- Press the Power button once (don’t hold it down).
⚠️ If you hold the power button too long, the printer may turn on and off immediately. Just press and release.
2. Try a Different Power Cord
If you have another HP printer or device with a similar power cord, try swapping it temporarily.
3. Check for External Power Module Issues
If your printer uses an external power brick, make sure:
- The voltage and amperage match the printer’s specs.
- The module isn’t warm or making noise (which could indicate failure).

I hope this helps.
Take care and have an amazing day!
