Product: Smart Tank 517
Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina

When I print to my Smart Tank 517 some images are printed with a black box around them.

I have noticed that when converting the PDF to image it prints well, but it's a tedious and very counterproductive process. 

I did some tests on Word and sometimes it prints some glyphs with black boxes, but the problem occurs frequently when I print PDF files.

What is printed is very different from what is shown on the screen.

The problem is that I get a lot of PDF files and I always have to export them as JPG to print correctly.

 

I tried HP's official support, but they blame Apple for the bug, they say some drivers are missing from the Mac OS.

I also tried Apple support and they blame HP for not fixing their drivers.

 

I tried many of the solutions found here, but none worked.

Many people suggest updating drivers or firmware, but there are no updates for my equipment.
