Black ink is not printing

Black ink is not printing even though I installed a new HP cartridge.  I have tried to set by unplugging, waiting and plugging back in.  Also downloaded new firmware and ran the clean cartridge program.  Estimated level of large black cartridge shows empty, small black cartridge shows full.  I cannot get black print to show in either grayscale mode or color.  When trying to copy a document, only colored part of document prints.  The rest is blank regardless of whether I choose Black or Color.

And yet the issue persists, this is a hardware malfunction within the printer and I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started:

 

1) Click on this link - http://www.hp.com/contacthp/

2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Click on "Show Options".

Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!
