Black ink smudged

Black Ink smudging. Have had this printer a year and it's only just started doing this. have cleaned the print heads many times but it hasn't worked! I am on the HP printing plan so HP send me cartridges when one is running out, therefore I don't have a spare ink to try out. Does anyone know how to remedy? Thankyou!

Are you trying to print in black or color?

Which ink is smudging?

Make sure you have tried the steps from this document to resolve this issue -  Fixing Poor Print Quality

black ink smudging, colour is fine. Cleaned print heads about 15 times. wasting loads of ink and still smudged!!!

This looks like a hardware issue.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
