Hi @JonathanC1,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code "B8D01FB8" you're encountering on your HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 could indicate a communication issue between your iPad and the printer over WiFi. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve this issue.

Restart Devices: Start by restarting both your iPad and the HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 printer. This can often resolve temporary communication issues.

Update Firmware: Ensure that your HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 has the latest firmware installed. You can usually check for firmware updates through the printer's control panel or via HP's support website.

Check WiFi Connection: Ensure that your iPad and the printer are connected to the same WiFi network. Sometimes, connectivity issues can arise if they are on different networks or if there are network configuration issues.

Printer Reset: Perform a power reset on your printer. This involves unplugging the power cord from the printer while it's still on, waiting for about 30 seconds, and then plugging it back in.

Reinstall Printer on iPad: Remove the printer from your iPad's printer list and then reinstall it. To do this:

  • Go to Settings on your iPad.
  • Tap on Bluetooth & WiFi.
  • Tap on the printer name under Printers.
  • Tap Delete Printer and confirm.
  • Re-add the printer by tapping Add Printer and selecting your HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 from the list.

Check Printer Configuration: Ensure that the printer settings allow printing from iPads. Some printers have specific settings that need to be enabled for printing from mobile devices.

Update iPad Software: Make sure your iPad has the latest version of iOS installed. Sometimes, updating the operating system can resolve compatibility issues.

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the "B8D01FB8" error and successfully print from your iPad using the HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 over WiFi.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
