Brand new print cartridges will not align.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I've got a HP Photosmart C4780 that will NOT align the black and white and color print carts. 

I've tried alignment (repeatedly) cleaning the print heads, priming the print heads, and no matter what, color and black are off.  This creates ghosting on letters, and black lines to align with color.  I've also tried hard resets of printer, pulling ink and re-installing, and then re-running the alignment (both on the hardware and through the software) only to no avail. 

For text, it is fine when you print from Word (because it comes out true black) but if you try from a PDF, apparently some of the text gets read as color in the image, so it comes out about a 1/16" - 1/32" off. The result is you can't print UPS labels, PDF text documents, or images with color without it looking really blurry. 

Any ideas? I'd rather not go purchase another set of cartridges since these are brand new, and I might still to have the same problem arise, and I'd be most of the way to a replacement laser printer. 

(NOTE: Multiple Operating systems, both Mac and PC. Also happens when copying images from the scanner glass without using a computer.)

Then, I recommend you to contact the HP Support Team regarding this.
