Note for common printer problems
Customers receiving the"will damage your computer" message along with others like "unable to access cups/tmp" or "'@%' cannot be opened" need to update their version of the macOS. CD for HP Office Pro 6978 printer. Am using my Dell Inspiron 15, Series 5000. Help please.

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am currently using my old Dell Inspiron 15, 5000 Series Laptop.

 

Have tried several times to download/connect to new HP Office Pro 6978 Printer.  hasn't worked and tech/support isn't helping.

 

I need a CD, which should come standard, to download my new printer to my laptop.

The software CDs are not shipped with the printers now because the software is available for download on the HP Support site.

Click here to download the HP Full-featured driver.

Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and follow the on-screen instructions.

 

Alternatively, you may use the HP Smart app to print and scan from your Win 10 PC
