The Attention light on my CP1215 keeps blinking.
I have gone through all the usual troubleshooting steps.
I have opened and closed the front and rear doors.
I have removed and re-inserted the paper tray. The tray has adequate paper.
All the cartridges are properly installed.
I have powered off and powered on the printer.
I have tried to do a Cold Reset but still nothing.

Hi @WVMontani
Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.
If the attention light on your HP Color LaserJet CP1215 is still blinking after going through the usual troubleshooting steps, here are a few more things you can check:
Check for Error Messages:
- Look for any specific error messages on the printer's display panel (if applicable) or on your computer when trying to print. This might provide more clues about the issue.
Inspect Cartridges:
- Even if the cartridges appear to be properly installed, try removing them again and inspecting them for any damage or obstructions. Make sure that the cartridges are genuine HP cartridges, as non-HP cartridges can sometimes cause issues.
Check for Jams:
- Carefully check for any paper jams or obstructions inside the printer, including the fuser area and any accessible rollers. Sometimes, small bits of paper or debris can cause the attention light to blink.
Clear the Print Queue:
- On your computer, go to Devices and Printers, right-click the CP1215, and select See what’s printing. Clear any stuck print jobs in the queue.
Update Printer Drivers:
- Ensure that you have the latest drivers installed for your printer. Visit the HP support website and download any updates available for your model.
Check the Power Supply:
- Make sure the printer is plugged into a working outlet and that the power cord is securely connected to both the printer and the power source.
Reset the Printer:
- Sometimes a full reset can help. Turn off the printer, unplug it for a minute, then plug it back in and turn it on again.
I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
