HP Office Jet 5255 Product # M2U75A.  I want to continue to print from this older printer, offline.  Can I install new 63 ink cartridges without being on-line?

@Lucy-Lyons, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

You can install new HP 63 ink cartridges in your HP OfficeJet 5255 All-in-One Printer (Model # M2U75A) without needing to be online. Here are the steps to follow:

Power on the Printer: Ensure that your printer is turned on.

Open the Cartridge Access Door: Lift the cartridge access door to access the ink cartridges. Wait until the carriage moves to the center of the printer before proceeding.

Remove the Old Cartridge: Gently press down on the old ink cartridge to release it, and then pull it out of its slot.

Prepare the New Cartridge: Remove the new HP 63 ink cartridge from its packaging. Be sure to remove the plastic tape from the cartridge. Avoid touching the copper-colored contacts or the ink nozzles.

Install the New Cartridge: Slide the new cartridge into the empty slot at a slight upward angle. Press down on the cartridge until it clicks securely into place.

Close the Cartridge Access Door: Once the cartridge is installed, close the cartridge access door.

Align the Cartridges: It is recommended to run an alignment. Follow the printer’s control panel prompts, if any, to ensure optimal print quality.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
