I  have a question. Once installed the instant ink cartridge the pages start counting.  So how about if I reach the limit of my instant ink plan, then I buy my own ink and replace Both cartridges with my own to avoid getting overcharged for the rest of the month.  Then next month I go back and install back the instant ink cartridges, and continue with my plan.

@Nick-007,

Thank you for posting your query on HP Community,

Let me go ahead and explain you:

Yes, If you wish to use the regular ink cartridges. You can go ahead and use them.

Please make sure you remove all the Instant ink cartridges and store them in a air-tight container.

For more details, please make use of this link: HP Inkjet Supplies - Storing and Handling Ink Cartridges

Then in the next month you can remove the regular ink cartridges and start using the Instant ink cartridges.

I hope this information helps.
