HP DeskJet 4155e All-in-One Printer

I'm trying to print a page and get the printer offline message. I've unplugged printer and router as advised and turned both back on. An error code is flashing looks like a small capital E next to a 0.

I’m here to help you troubleshoot your issue and get things back on track. Just follow these steps below, and we’ll have you running smoothly in no time:

 

An E0 error indicates an unusable cartridge: This occurs when one or both ink cartridges need attention. Reseat both cartridges,

 

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Remove USB cable, if present.
  • Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
  • Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.
  • Run HP Print and Scan Doctor (Windows only):
    • Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor to fix issues.
  • Check for Driver Issues:
    • Open Device Manager > Expand Printers.
    • Right-click your printer and select Update Driver.
  • Remove and Reinstall Printer:
    • Open Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
    • Remove the printer, restart the PC, and add the printer again.

Update the printer firmware 

  • Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your product
