Hi @sasimpson20,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035 All-in-One Printer can't download updates, try these troubleshooting steps.
Check Internet Connection:
- Ensure your printer is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network. You can test this by printing a network configuration page from the printer settings.
Restart Printer and Router:
- Power off your printer and unplug it. Do the same with your router. Wait for about a minute, then plug in the router and turn on the printer.
Update Firmware via HP Smart App:
- Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device. It may prompt you to update the printer firmware.
Reset Network Settings:
- On the printer's control panel, go to Setup > Network > Restore Network Defaults. Then reconnect to your Wi-Fi network.
Check for Manual Updates:
- Visit the HP Support website and search for your printer model. You can download the latest firmware manually and install it via USB if necessary.
Firewall or Antivirus:
- Sometimes, security software can block the update process. Temporarily disable any firewall or antivirus software to see if that resolves the issue.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
