Hi @JP826
Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.
If you're having trouble connecting your HP DeskJet 2755e to Wi-Fi, here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:
Check Wi-Fi Network:
- Make sure your Wi-Fi network is functioning properly and that you can connect other devices to it. Ensure the network is 2.4 GHz, as many printers do not support 5 GHz networks.
Reboot Devices:
- Restart your printer and your router. This can often resolve temporary connectivity issues.
Use the HP Smart App:
- Open the HP Smart app on your device. If you haven’t installed it, download it from the Microsoft Store or Mac App Store.
- Follow the prompts in the app to add your printer. Make sure your device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network you want the printer to connect to.
Wireless Setup Wizard:
- On the printer's control panel, navigate to Setup > Network > Wireless Setup Wizard. Follow the prompts to connect to your Wi-Fi network.
WPS Connection:
- If your router supports WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup), press the WPS button on the router, then go to the printer and select Setup > Network > WPS Push Button. This can simplify the connection process.
Check Printer Network Settings:
- Print a network configuration page from the printer’s control panel to ensure it’s searching for the right network and that the Wi-Fi is enabled.
Disable Firewall/Security Software:
- Temporarily disable any firewall or security software on your computer that may be blocking the printer's connection.
Reset Network Settings:
- On the printer, you can reset the network settings to factory defaults. This can usually be found under Setup > Network > Restore Network Defaults. After resetting, try connecting to Wi-Fi again.
Update Firmware:
- Make sure your printer's firmware is up to date. You can check for updates through the HP Smart app or the HP website.
I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
