I have been trying to get this printer to print on my Cricut brand sticker paper and it continually gets jammed. it seems to keep getting stuck right in the beginning under the (don't make fun) lifty thing with the blue handle, not sure what the technical name is lol. Can anyone please help me? The main reason I bought this printer is because it was supposed to be excellent at printing sticker onto sticker paper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Frustrated is an understatement at this point.

Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
No worries! That "lifty thing with the blue handle" is likely the paper pickup roller or the access door to clear paper jams. Since your HP Envy Inspire 7258e is jamming when trying to print on Cricut sticker paper, let's troubleshoot step by step:
Check the Sticker Paper Settings
- Open HP Smart App or Printer Properties on your computer.
- Go to Print Settings and select:
- Paper Type: Set to Labels, Cardstock, or Heavy Paper (instead of Plain Paper).
- Print Quality: Use Best or High to slow down feeding.
- Paper Source: Choose Rear Tray (if available) or Main Tray.
- Ensure Sticker Paper is loaded properly (not curled or sticking together).
Load the Sticker Paper Correctly
- Fan the sheets before loading to prevent them from sticking.
- Load only 1-2 sheets at a time to prevent jams.
- Make sure the sticker side is facing the right direction (usually up).
- Adjust the paper guides snugly (but not too tight).
Manually Clean the Rollers
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Lift the blue handle and remove any stuck paper.
- Use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water to gently clean the rollers.
- Let it dry completely, then try printing again.
Try a Different Sticker Paper
- Some sticker papers are too thick or glossy for certain printers.
- Test with a different brand (like Avery or OnlineLabels) to see if the issue persists.
Update Printer Firmware
- Go to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Update Printer.
- Check if an HP firmware update improves media handling.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
