If you can't print the claim code and you have no ink, you can retrieve the Instant Ink claim code using alternative methods. Here are a few options:
Printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS):
- Connect your printer to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
- Find your printer's IP address. You can usually find this on the printer’s display or through the printer settings on your computer.
- Open a web browser and enter the printer's IP address in the address bar.
- Log in to the EWS if prompted (default credentials are usually found in the printer's manual).
- Look for the Web Services or Instant Ink section to find the claim code.
HP Smart App:
- Download and install the HP Smart app on your smartphone or computer.
- Open the app and add your printer.
- Go to the Instant Ink section within the app. The claim code should be displayed there.
Printer Settings:
- On your computer, open the printer settings or control panel.
- Navigate to the Web Services or Instant Ink section.
- You may find the claim code listed there.
