Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When I try to print it comes up with an error saying 'Cannot print. Connect printer to update HP Instant Ink status.' I press connect. Then comes up with a message 'Server Problem. The printer could not connect to Web Services. The server might be busy or temporarily unavailable. Try again later.'
I have used the HP Doctor app and it says it cannot find any issues. I con't even print a test page at the moment. When I tried to look up stuff in HP for this printer it keeps coming up with a 404 page can't be found error, which is not helpful.

Hi @DogzDinnerz,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like you're facing connectivity issues with your HP Envy Photo 6234 printer and the HP Instant Ink service. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the problem.

Check Internet Connection:

  • Make sure that your printer is connected to the internet. Verify the Wi-Fi connection on your printer and ensure it's connected to the same network as your computer.

Restart Your Printer:

  • Turn off your printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. This can sometimes help resolve temporary connectivity issues.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can check for firmware updates in the printer settings or on the HP support website.

Check HP Instant Ink Subscription:

  • If you are using HP Instant Ink, make sure that your subscription is active and not expired. You might need to log in to your HP Instant Ink account and check the status.

Check Web Services Status:

  • Sometimes, the HP Web Services server may experience temporary issues. You can check the status of HP Web Services on the HP Connected website. If there is a server problem, you may need to wait until it's resolved.

Printer Web Services Reset:

  • On your printer, go to the settings or setup menu and find the option to reset or disable Web Services. Afterward, re-enable Web Services and try to connect again.

Firewall/Antivirus Settings:

  • Check your computer's firewall and antivirus settings to ensure they are not blocking the printer's connection to the HP Web Services.

HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor again and follow any recommendations it provides. It's possible that the initial scan didn't detect the issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
