HP Smart Tank 500 All-in-One

My smart tank 500 can't print. There's a pop-up on my pc saying there's an error on printing. The control panel doesn't blink or show anything.

Hi @Paphawarin,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

There could be several reasons why your HP Smart Tank 500 printer is not printing and the control panel is not responding. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try,

  • Check the printer's power source: Ensure that the printer is properly plugged in and the power source is working. You can try plugging it into a different outlet or using a different power cable.
  • Check the printer's connectivity: Make sure that your printer is properly connected to your computer or network. If you are using a USB connection, check the cable and ensure that it is securely connected to both the printer and your computer. If you are using a wireless connection, check the printer's wireless settings and try reconnecting it to your network.
  • Check the ink levels: Ensure that your printer has enough ink to print. If the ink levels are low, replace the ink cartridges.
  • Clear any paper jams: Check for any paper jams inside the printer and clear them. Paper jams can cause the printer to stop printing.
  • Restart the printer: Sometimes, restarting the printer can help resolve any issues. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few seconds, and then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Update the printer drivers: Make sure that your printer drivers are up to date. Go to the HP website and download the latest drivers for your printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
