Same as Ireland 3870 I keep getting a message on my printer telling me that a problem has occurred ....

 

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer but the flashing yellow light won't go away, can't even print a test page.

It sounds frustrating to deal with printer issues, especially when reinstalling doesn't resolve the problem. 

 

Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the HP LaserJet MFP M140we printer:

 

  • Check Printer Status: Make sure there are no paper jams, the toner or ink cartridges are correctly installed, and there are no other physical issues with the printer.
  • Restart Devices: Turn off the printer, computer, and router. Wait for about 30 seconds, then turn them back on in this order: router, printer, then computer. This can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Visit the HP Support website for your printer model and check if there are any firmware updates available. Install any updates as needed. Update the firmware on an HP printer
  • Check Printer Connections: Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your computer via USB or network connection (if applicable). Sometimes loose connections can cause communication issues.
  • Printer Driver: Download the latest printer drivers from the HP website specific to Windows 11. Install these drivers after uninstalling any existing printer drivers.
  • Clear Print Queue: Sometimes print jobs can get stuck in the print queue, causing issues. Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click on your printer, and select "See what's printing". Cancel all pending print jobs.
