Hi @Shaunie01,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If your HP printer isn’t printing from your laptop, even though it’s connected, let’s walk through a few key checks to get things working again. I’ll guide you step by step, and we’ll get your printer back in action.

Step-by-Step: Fix HP Printer Not Printing from Laptop
1. Check Printer Status

  • Is the printer turned on and showing no error lights?
  • Is it connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your laptop?

2. Restart Everything

  • Restart your printer, laptop, and Wi-Fi router.
  • This clears temporary glitches and refreshes connections.

3. Set as Default Printer

  • On Windows:
    • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
    • Click your printer → Set as default.
  • On macOS:
    • Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
    • Right-click your printer → Set as default.

4. Update or Reinstall Printer Driver

  • Download the latest driver from HP: 👉 Official HP® Support
  • Enter your printer model (e.g., DeskJet 2800e) and select your OS.
  • Download and install the Full Feature Software.

🧪 5. Run HP Print App

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
