Hi @Vick56,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To help you get your HP printer to print from your Android phone, follow these steps.

Ensure Your Printer is Connected to the Same Wi-Fi Network

  • Make sure both your printer and Android device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Install the HP Smart App

  1. Go to the Google Play Store on your Android device.
  2. Search for and install the HP Smart app.
  3. Open the app, and add your printer by following the on-screen instructions.

Enable Mobile Printing

  1. After setting up the printer in the HP Smart app, select the document, photo, or web page you want to print.
  2. Tap the Print icon in the app or use the Share function from other apps (e.g., gallery, browser) and select HP Smart as the printing option.

Ensure Printer is Enabled for Mobile Printing

  • Verify that Wi-Fi Direct or HP Print Service Plugin is installed on your phone.
    1. Go to Settings > Connections or Network & Internet on your Android device.
    2. Turn on Wi-Fi Direct and follow the prompts to connect your printer.

Use HP Print Service Plugin (Optional)

  1. Install the HP Print Service Plugin from the Google Play Store.
  2. Go to Settings > Printing > HP Print Service Plugin, and enable it.
  3. Once enabled, open the file you want to print and select Print from the menu, and choose your HP printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
