HP ENVY Inspire 7255e All-in-One Printer

I have 2 PCs and an HP ENVY Inspire 7200.  All are connected to the same wi-fi.  The Dell PC will print to the HP printer.  The Lenovo laptop will not.  The Lenovo worked fine until the last Windows 10 update.  The Printer shows in my devices and I've verified the driver was added via HP Smart to the laptop.  I either get no error message and the print queue remains empty or I get a message that there is an error with the HP Envy.  But I can immediately go to the Dell computer and print the same document with no issue.  ?????????

Hi @CMP8,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

If your HP ENVY Inspire 7255e All-In-One Printer is printing with other devices but not with your Lenovo PC, here are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

1. Check the Printer Connection on the Lenovo PC

  1. Verify Connection:
    • Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your Lenovo PC via USB or network (Wi-Fi or Ethernet).
    • If using a USB connection, try a different USB port.
    • If using Wi-Fi, make sure both the printer and Lenovo PC are connected to the same network.
    • Make sure, your printer and your device are on the same network as 2.4GHZ only.

2. Set Printer as Default on Lenovo PC

  1. Open Printer Settings:
    • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
  2. Set as Default Printer:
    • Select your HP ENVY Inspire 7255e from the list of printers and click Manage.
    • Click Set as default.

3. Clear Print Queue

  1. Open Print Queue:
    • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
    • Select your printer and click Open queue.
  2. Clear Queue:
    • Cancel all pending print jobs.

4. Reinstall Printer Drivers

  1. Remove Existing Printer:
    • In Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners, select your printer and click Remove device.
  2. Download Latest Drivers:
    • Go to the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your HP ENVY Inspire 7255e.
  3. Install Drivers:
    • Run the downloaded driver installer and follow the on-screen instructions.

5. Run Printer Troubleshooter

  1. Open Troubleshooter:
    • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
  2. Run Printer Troubleshooter:
    • Select Printer and click Run the troubleshooter.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to detect and fix issues.
