Card stock will no longer print in my HP Envy All-In-One printer.  Plain paper will, but the card stock will cycle through, come out on the tray, but not have the page printed on it.  I've cleaned all the rollers to no avail.

Hi @lancespigner,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Envy All-In-One printer is not printing on card stock but prints on plain paper without any issues, there are a few potential reasons and troubleshooting steps you can try.

  • Check Printer Specifications: Ensure that your printer supports printing on card stock. Not all printers are designed to handle thicker paper types like card stock. Refer to your printer's user manual or specifications online to confirm.
  • Paper Settings: Make sure that you have selected the correct paper type and paper size settings in your printer's settings menu. Set the paper type to card stock and adjust any other relevant settings accordingly.
  • Paper Tray Adjustment: Some printers have adjustable paper trays to accommodate different paper sizes and types. Make sure that the paper guides in the tray are set to securely hold the card stock in place.
  • Paper Thickness Setting: Some printers have a setting to adjust for thicker paper types like card stock. Check if your printer has this option and adjust it accordingly.
  • Printer Driver Update: Ensure that your printer driver is up-to-date. Sometimes outdated drivers can cause compatibility issues with certain paper types.
  • Printer Firmware Update: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Firmware updates can sometimes resolve issues related to paper handling.
  • Printer Maintenance: Perform a thorough cleaning of the printer's rollers and paper path. Even if you've cleaned the rollers before, there could still be debris or residue causing the issue. Use a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with water or isopropyl alcohol to clean the rollers.
  • Try Different Card Stock: If possible, try printing on a different type or brand of card stock. The thickness or coating of the card stock could be causing issues with your printer.
  • Print Quality Settings: Lower the print quality settings if you're printing a document that doesn't require high-quality output. Sometimes reducing the print quality can help the printer handle thicker paper more effectively.

By following these troubleshooting steps, you should be able to diagnose and resolve the issue with your HP Envy All-In-One printer not printing on card stock.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
