I have a HP Envy 4527 which is just a few months out of warranty and has started showing a Carriage Jam message on the display.
I have followed the recommendations of checking for blockages, powering the printer off for a minute and nothing is stopping the message coming back.
The carriage moves freely, but isn't moving when I open it until I press the OK button on the screen, at which point it moves all the way across and stops at the left hand side and the message comes up again.
Any help or advice would be great.

When trying again, I noticed a removable panel at the back under the scanner bed, which looks like it could be to help with access to paper jams.
Removing that, and ensuring it had clicked in properly seems to have sorted the problem.
