Hi, I'm having a sudden issue with the colour cartridge in my printer. I changed it not that long ago as I am on the Instant Ink scheme. For some reason I keep getting an error on my printer saying there's an error with the cartridge. I have tried all of the usual things like taking the cartridge out, gently cleaning contacts, making sure it's in ok. The error will not go away. As it's quite a new cartridge I'm assuming it's a problem with the cartridge itself. I've also made sure all software is up to date etc. Any ideas?

I understand you are not able to print due to this error.

  • To assist you better, what is the exact error?
  • Remove the color and try printing in black to check if that works fine.

Make sure you have tried the steps mentioned in this document - HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge

 

If the error persists, as the issue is related to Instant ink cartridges, I need more information to help you out.

Thanks for the reply but I think I may have sorted it. I followed some instructions to clean the contacts with a damp clean cloth and this seems to have worked. I'll come back if the problem arises again.
