Hello everyone!

I'm having the same situation as in https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Inkjet-Printing/Printer-says-quot-cartridge-can-only-be-used-in-printe.... I recently bought two original cartridges for my desk jet (color and black) and the printer is displaying that error message. 

After following what Raj1788 (HP Support Agent) answered I'm still stuck without being able to print, according to him some of the steps couldn't be posted on the forum, I really need to print and it would be nice if I could receive the same support and (hopefully) be able to print again.

Hi @RobertoAPZ

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I understand you are not able to print due to ink cartridge error. I'd be happy to assist you.

  • Which ink cartridge is indicated in the error?
  • Are you using the setup ink cartridges that came with the printer?

This printer supports printing in single-cartridge mode. Insert one ink cartridge at a time and try printing or making a copy to identify the defective ink cartridge.

 

Also, perform the steps mentioned in this document to resolve any issues related to the ink cartridge.

Hello Kumar0307,

The problem is consistent in the black ink cartridge (664 XL Ink Advantage).  We have done no modifications in the printer, if this is what is meant in the second question. We have followed all steps shown in the document sent (https://support.hp.com/in-en/product/hp-deskjet-ink-advantage-4670-all-in-one-printer-series/7317523...) and the problem is still persistent.

If you have tried the steps and the issue persists, I'm afraid this could be a hardware issue.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
