Cartridge issues for HP Officejet Pro 8715
02-24-2021 03:11 PM - edited 02-26-2021 02:28 PM

I replaced the printhead on my HP Officejet Pro 8715 and the printer is now asking for new cartridges. The cartridges I am using are more than 3/4's full of ink. How can I override this startup message?
Thank you.

@tarplr, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Is it asking for the setup ink cartridges?
Setup ink cartridges are included with the printhead.
If you did not get the setup ink cartridges, to bypass the message on the printer the only option left is to perform an OOBE reset and re-initialize the printer.
The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
