HP Recommended

I have had several HP products that I was very satisfied with and which I promoted to those around me. Almost 2 months ago, my printer was blocked by firmware that HP made me install without my knowledge, without warning me of the consequences: any printing with cartridges other than HP brand ones. Dishonest and illegal practice for which I hope HP will soon be heavily condemned. Beyond this legal aspect, I feel betrayed as a customer. I am temporarily embarrassed by no longer being able to print at home, no longer being able to use products that I have purchased (my printer and cartridges). It is quite obvious that I would never buy HP cartridges again, and it is even less likely that I would take out a subscription with a brand that I can no longer trust. Your security arguments are vague, they fool no one and come after the fact as a poor justification. I just wanted to let you know that we will never again buy any HP product (all products combined), neither me nor my family, that I am responsible for informing those around me about your practices and your objectives, to advertise to you which you sadly deserve. Massive boycott and negative image among consumers, unfortunately you only understand that. To the wise...
