HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 All-in-One Printer series
macOS 10.12 Sierra

I have a new HP Officejet Pro 8710.  I am using the Scan-to-Computer function on the printer to scan a document to my MacBook (running MacOS 10.13).  It appears that the software automatically defaults to storing the scan in my Pictures folder on my MacBook.  How can I change this to a different folder?  Thanks

Thanks...but that link explains how to change the saved-to directory when you initiate a scan from your computer...which is fairly obvious.  I was asking how to change the default saved-to directory when you initiate the scan from the printer.

That said, I figured it out:   Launch the HP Utility application on your Mac.  Select Scan to Computer.  Select Edit Scan Tasks.  Select a task (e.g. Save to PDF)...click Edit.  Change the Scan To setting (and any other setting you want to).  Click on Save.

Not sure why it needs to be this hard to find...
